2 Machinedrum Remixes (free)

Here are 2 Machinedrum remixes you may have missed from this summer, courtesy of the Palm Out Sounds blog. The Johnny Cash track is one of my favorite tracks of the year, classic Travis.

Johnny Cash - “Belshazzar” (Machine Drum Remix)

Praveen & Benoit - “Embers” (Machinedrum Version)

Enjoy!

When the hell is Want to 1 2 coming out?

These remixes are great as always with Machine Drum.

Unfortunately I got no clue… last thing I heard through the grapevine was Feb 2009.. Not to ruin it, but don’t expect stuff like these remixes on the album. Its a lot more pop than most machine drum fans are gonna be expecting, though I guess you would get a good notion by checking his myspace page.

Not that I have a problem with it, but I’ve noticed that a lot of cut up hip-hop artists are steering towards this direction of the more pop-oriented stuff. I wonder why that is…?

    it’s why hip-hop sucks in ‘96

  7. Merck says:

hah…. i thought hiphop was great in 1996…. and that album was one of the most hit n miss productions by anyone ever…. but i get the point…………. “iiittssss tthhheeeee moooonnneeeyyyy”

  8. Lumberg says:

never heard that album described that way… but so true!! ‘96/97 were great years for music in general.. RIDJames album, Dead Cities, Tri Repetae++ .. shouldn’t start, the list is probably a mile long..

  9. Merck says:

yea, I could never listen to it all the way through… it was always a DJ tool with too much filler to me.

Yea, 96 was an amazing year for music.

  10. Anthony says:

thanks!! i am so sick of pop

  11. Chris says:

Thing is I guess when I was younger I used to be so anti-pop but now since it’s so hard to evade it, whether you’re at a club with your friends, with your girlfriend, or just socializing at a bar, you’re gonna hear it so I guess the fact that these guys are kind of putting their own spin on it at least makes it somewhat interesting. Still though, I long for the old days…=( I guess it’s why I’m still hung up on merck output ;)

p.s. lol on the dj shadow reference.

yah, I brought down Travis for the WMC last year and he was amazing live. Triggering everything live…it was super exciting…Circuiree Records released one of his tracks not too long ago that was really dope.
